Description: "This place is a mtb playground. There are too many good routes to list. I recommend climbing the Spring Creek trail to the Canyon Trail, and continue climbing up to the Marsh trail. Here you have a decision to make; either ride the fun, fast singletrack known as South Burma trail, or continue to the Two Quarry Trail. The Two Quarry trail is a dream for the technically minded rider. This trail is not for the timid, advanced riders only. From the bottom of Two Quarry climb back up Warren Richardson, and then ride down Rough Go. Hold onto your handlebars as your hands and wrists become fatigued flying down this tasty quick section of trail.

Working in Santa Rosa for the Summer, and Annadel has some pretty sweet trails. The ride up Spring Creek is easy, and then eventually travels through some dense forest as it continues on toward Lake Ilsanjo. The lake would be a nice place to cool off on a hot day, as the terrain in the park is often dense forest with periods of full sun exposure. From Spring Creek the ride up & down Canyon to the Marsh Trail is fireroad, and then the Marsh makes it way into more dense forest as you head toward the Ridge Trail. Some awesome redwoods in here. Ridge eventually loops back into the Marsh and drops you into Buick Meadow. From here take South Burma through some cool rock gardens. This trail eventually ends at Warren Richardson. Head North for a short bit to pick up North Burma and enjoy the riding from here. Fantastic downhill, that continues to Live Oak, heading North this trail will bomb through dense forest, so check your brakes. Live Oak drops you onto Channel Trail which dumps you out onto Channel Drive.
I've ridden several different ways now, and going up Rough Go is a must for the technically inclined. I actually prefer the ride up, than down, heading toward Lake Ilsanjo. Heading down Rough Go, you can leave the park by taking Cobblestone. Now don't get me wrong, but initially I was p***ed that started up Cobblestone, because it is exactly what it says it is, "cobblestone". The first half-mile or so is not very enjoyable, but the pay-off is again, more fantastic downhill for a little more than a mile.

Annandale Rocks! I lived in Santa Rosa for many years and enjoyed riding Annandale - whether its a short loop ride, or several hours of loop after loop!
The best part of Annandale is that you can ride fireroads to singletrack, anything from "easy" (relatively speaking) to "technical". Personally, I like the warm-up going up Richardson's grade, then on to South Burma, up to Marsh, down to Canyon, around to Lake Ilsanjo for a break, then Live Oak to either North Burma or Rough-go. And if that gets boring, try Two-quarry.
