#40 out of 107 Fat Bikes
Brand: Borealis
Needless to say we're pretty excited to announce the Borealis Yampa fat bike. The Yampa is available now and those who have gotten to ride this elusive beast have raved about it. The best material to build bicycles-carbon fiber-has reached the fat bike world in a big way. The frame utilizes all the strengths of this material: lightweight, lateral stiffness, and the ability to shape tubes to perfection. This frame is extremely lightweight, and has every feature that a fat bike needs to become anything you can imagine. We've included 3 bottle cage mounts for those that enjoy staying hydrated for the super-endurance rides, and rear rack mounts as well to make carrying your gear easy. The Yampa features the new fat-bike-standard 190mm centered rear spacing and has clearance for the largest fat tire and rim setup out there and a 2x10 drivetrain, with room for extra mud and snow that you're bound to ride through.

The Yampa's seatstay design allows the frame to flex vertically just the right amount for an extremely comfortable ride, while the massive bottom bracket and chainstays allow for lateral stiffness that will blow you away (or your riding buddies) when you get out of the saddle to accelerate. The tapered headtube combined with the Borealis FF1 tapered fork and 15mm thru axle make front-end handling like nothing you've felt on a fat bike before and will make weaving through tight singletrack a breeze.

With all the massive improvements in fat bike design happening throughout the industry in the last few years, we're confident the Yampa will be something that will blow you away, a truly other worldly creation for adventure junkies and racers alike that will feel right at home wherever you decide to take it.
