Pros
Rocks, What Rocks? I clear technical trails and rock gardens like I was riding on a flat singletrack. This item is great. My chain never falls off and never have to worry about shifting from low to high as its all internal. If you want a worry free system then choose the HammerSchmidt. I have this on my Diamondback Mission 3 and no one hang in the techincal section. Love it.

Pros
This crankset has changed how I ride. Shifting takes a while to get used to but once you do... you'll find yourself climbing stuff on your rig that you thought was impossible before. It's stiff, durable (thanks in large part to the clearance, integrated bashgaurd and chainkeeping abilities), and turns shifting into something fun instead of stressful. Take your heavy bike... and turn it into something you like to pedal... it's literally magic.
Cons
It's pretty heavy. People complain about the "overdrive" having drag... but for the average rider... you will only hear noise and the "drag" will be in your head.
Review
Really a great step forward in front shifting/chainkeeping for mid to long travel bikes.

Pros
I absolutely love this crank. I don't think that I would ever ride a typical toothed crank set ever again. This thing rocks! The shift from this set up is instant and requires no easing off of the pressure while peddling up hills. It gives the bike more clearance getting over obstacles and is fully contained and protected. In my opinion its the best component on my bike. Do yourself a favor and get one.
Cons
If anything, the larger gear makes a noisewhile peddling. But, this actually reminds you what ratio your riding in.
Not really a dislike, just a comment.

If you want a super smooth, fun, and worry free ride......go out and get one of these. You will love it as much as I do. Everyone who sees it and tries it out is amazed with the fluidness of its instant shifting.
