Pros
Hard to beat this post. I have had this post on all my bikes. It allows you to shorten your stem on the front you have better control in the technical areas. This post has never slipped on me.

Pros
Super light and strong. One of the lightest aluminum posts I've ever seen. The machining is gorgeous and oozes style.
Cons
Quite expensive for an aluminum seat post. The bolts are specially designed for Thomson, so you can't just replace them with anything.

What can I say? This thing has withstood the test of time, despite being mangled, crashed and pounded on daily. This post is surprisingly forgiving. It's slick looking, and if you can drop the cash on it you definitely should.

I got this post to give me a little more space and it worked like a charm. Previously, I was a bit cramped, not much, but after I put the Thomson post on I saw a world of difference. I'm happy with it.

If you own a Specialized with the oddball 30.9 sizing, and want to upgrade to a MTB icon, here is your seatpost.
