Pros
Awesome handling and rolls over rocky terrain with no problems. Rides smooth and climbs great. Shifting is quick and easy and provides more than enough travel for most terrain out here in the CO. The lockout feature and rebound control is great as well.
Cons
The seat is a pain in the rear for longer rides. Quick and easy fix though.
Review
I would absolutely recommend this bike.

Pros
Big wheels rolls over almoust everything, riding position, fast shifting, handling, lihgt weight, nice components
Cons
Grips started to show some minor wear. Wish they have it Black/Green like Stumpy HT

I'm not a racer, so got Stumpy instead of Epic and have no regrets about this purchase since it gives me a bit more upright riding position and confidence on descents. Paid $2200 in March this year. Most important for me is a feeling of sitting "in the bike" not "on the bike". Big wheels rolls over obstacles and gives a lot of grip. Decent climber if fork locked and great for fast twisty downhils. Fork forgives many mistakes. 2x10 drivetrain offer all gears I need and right in-time. This bike even in Comp set up weigh lighter then some HT on the market. Handle rock gardens, small jumps and drops with no problems. Havn't had any flat tires yet nor broken parts. Could be nice to have handlebar mounted rear shock switch, but can't realy complain at this price. It's a great do-it-all bike which fly through tight twisty singletracks and will serve you well on all day epic rides. I'd suggest to rent one first and go to your favorite trail as you won't get a full idea about this bike until you try it in the "real world". You won't be disappointed.

Pros
Right amount of travel for my riding style. 130mm travel up front AND in back. Sorry Gary, the Rumblefish is nice, but I prefer the stumpy. The Comp model is really the sweet spot. Makes me feel like a better rider. Purgatory tires.
Cons
Is only offered in Navy/White... Uncool. I lucked up and got my LBS to acquire a Black/Red one (Test bike colors woooot). Much more my style. I've been blowing lots of tubes due to thorns so went tubeless. I had an issue with my brakes being very "soft", took it back to the LBS. All they had to do was clean the pads, make some adjustments and now I canstop on a dime.

If you can afford it, and a stumpjumper fits your riding style... this is the bike for you. This wouldn't be the best bike for racing, probably more towards the Epic (which I still really liked). I'm not a DH guy, but I like going down sketchy stuff realy fast. This bike tackles roots, rocks, and holes in the ground without problem. I've been riding 5/7 days (weather permitting) since i've gotten the bike, and If I had to choose another bike I'd go the same route over again.

I feel like this bike is a great buy. I got it for $2300 from the LBS. I felt immediately more balanced and confident on the trail. It grabs the rocks and dirt and just rockets me forward. It is smooth in it's ride and flys over obstacles with ease. It is very responsive and makes it effortless to change lines while blazing down the trail. The Reba fork is solid and not overly bobby. It looks better in person than in pics of it. It looks like the "gold" portions are bright in the pics but in person they are much more subdued and look almost brown, which I think suits the bike better. The components are great and you can tell immediately that specialized knows what they were doing when they made this bike. I considered getting a Gary Fisher Rumblefish I, but am stoked that I went with thei one. Awesome ride, you won't be disappointed!
