Schwalbe Nobby Nic Reviews
Description:
It is the first mountain bike tire to utilize triple compound in a tire, combined with the supple and fast carcass from the Racing Ralph. The thread base is made from an extremely elastic tire to bring rolling resistance to a minimum; a harder coast of rubber on the center three rows of knobs for better durability and ability to
dig into softer terrain; and a maximum grip compound on the shoulder knobs to enhance grip in the wet and fast cornering situations. As the Nobby Nic was based upon the carcass of the Racing Ralph, many aspects of the tire characteristics would be benchmarked upon it.

Pros
Light and grippy. My EVO cased tire in 2.1 came in at a svlete 356grams. Great on the front. Lots of grip for such a light tire.
Cons
Thin sidewalls! Stans seals them up though.

Pros
Good grip but low enough rolling resistance to use for XC riding. Quality construction and materials.
Cons
Uni-directional tread slows installation (not a big deal really).
Review
Runs great as a rear tire for XC and works well on climbs.

Pros
Awesome grip on all surfaces. Tracks well through snow, sand, wet rocks, roots, etc. Takes a good beating, rides relatively smooth.
Cons
A little bit loud on the road. when going down hill in thick mud, the back tires gets slightly loose, feels like you are riding on a flat.

Good all around tire for xc.
