| Pros | Excellent tool for digging and carving out trail beds! Better than any grubbing hoe. | | Cons | Besides being heavy. None whatsoever | | Verdict | Great for trail crew maintenance. |
| Pros | Carves out trail beds with ease, goes through roots up to 3/4" thick in one whack, durable as heck | | Cons | none | | Verdict | I used one of these for several hours at a recent IMBA trail workday and fell in love. We were cutting fresh trail into the side of a hill and this was the tool to use. Roots melted away, the sun came through the trees to bathe me in warm winter light, angels began to sing and the trail magically appear from a hillside of woodland.
This adz style hoe is tough, the blade is thick and held an edge with no problems - even when I hit some rocks. I am in love. . . Dear Santa, All I want for xmas is a Rogue Hoe 70H 7" adz hoe and a pair of good leather gloves - 2left feet. |
