My car did not originally have a hitch on it, but all of the trunk mounted carriers destroy your paint after a while. I love how easy it is to mount the bike. While others are hooking their bikes on the center tube or removing their front wheels, I have my bike loaded and am packing the car. Very simple to use, sturdy, but somewhat expensive. If you are looking to travel to bike, this is one of the best hitch mounted bike carriers I have seen. Recommended for: Anyone
