Pros
Drive train is rock solid Geometry is great for a big guy

Cons
Pedals will shred your skin like knives Frt Fork is little too squishy for larger People. I am 6'4" and 250 lbs, Geax tires are useless in NE

This is the best Bike I have owned. I live in New England so there are alot of rocks, pine needles and roots and this bike takes the pounding going down and climbs like a champ. This year doesn't have the lockout feature for the fron fork but I'm not sure I would use it anyway. This is my first bike with disk brakes so I am not a good source for that. $600 Brand new and it is still going strong!

Pros
Shifters and derailers are great for the money. Very well made.

Cons
Bike is just under 32 lbs. Somewhat heavy.

My first MTB. I bought used 2 years ago for $300. Very rugged and dependable. I recommend it for someone looking to get into mountain biking. I will keep this bike even if I upgrade someday.

Pros
The shifters and derailers are nice. Gearing good. Its not super light but light enough.

Cons
Front suspension is a bit cheap. lockout is nice but inconvenient. Brakes are ok but don't work to good when dirty. Tires a great for dry dirt but horrible for mud. Gribs and pedals suck.

Pros
I like the sram power train shifters and derailleurs, do not need frequent adjsutments. Avid disc brakes, value of bike for the money.

Cons
Grips upgraded too thin hands went numb, the geax tires good for speed but not for the tight turns, upgraded to stans tubless and to panaracers xc. frt shock alittle on the heavy side but I paid $600.00

Review
I recomend fot the first time buyer, cuz of the powertrain components and the price. With a few upgrades on the tires and grips and of you are a weight weinne upgrade some parts to carbon fiber. I weighed the bike just under 30lbs.
