Easy to handle, good geometry, sturdy components

Some factory components just need to be replaced (Tubes/Tires, brake pads) before you can actually do anything more than cruise with it.

A good entry level bike. Suspension firm enough that you won't be wollowing on the street but soft enough to make most normal bumps and jumps easy. Very reliable drive train, after three years of abuse and neglect I have only ever replaced the chain, and made occasional adjustments for cable stretch. Definitely good for a first time buyer.
