Jamis Dragon Team

Avg rating:
MSRP: $3900.00
Description: (from jamisbikes.com)
Reynolds 853 air-hardened chromoly actually gains strength in the weld zone area, instead of losing it like all other welded material, allowing Reynolds to draw this tubing thinner, for a lighter, stiffer frame with outstanding "feel". Heat treated cro-moly rear stays and investment cast dropouts increase torsional stiffness by 30%
The Reynolds 853 tubing actually undergoes an additional heat treatment
process, than does 631, imparting greater strength, and allowing Jamis to specify thinner yet tube sets for maximum weight savings & optimized "feel"
Fox 32F 100RL fork offers legendary Fox precision manufacturing & industry leading stiffness-to-weight ratio with the enhanced steering precision and highly evolved damping performance that is synonymous with the Fox name. Features adjustable air pressure, rebound & low-speed compression damping, push-button lockout
Shimano's XTR group has been completely re-designed with a weight reduction of a whooping 187 grams, total weight will be just over 1500 grams!

Mavic CrossMax SLR UST wheelset pulls some weight reduction ideas from the Ksyrium ES wheelset and sheds 165 grams to come in at just over 1500 grams. INCREDIBLE for a high-performance off-road wheelset
Easton's EC90 carbon fiber components are the most advanced carbon bike parts on the planet, thanks to their proprietary CNT Enhanced Resin System & carbon Taperwall technology
Fizik Gobi saddle features the same long rail & seating platform of the famous Airone -- the extra length allowing the rider not only more pedaling position options over the bottom bracket, but the ability to effectively raise or lower the saddle as you move rearward (higher) or forward (lower). The Wing Flex design is an active "break in" feature that allows saddle sides to move to accommodate rider anatomy & prevent chafing

ProsLightweight (24lbs) Great handling. Shifting is flawless and so smooth. Easy on-the-go front suspension adjuster. The bike seems to mold to you...perfect when you go technical.
ConsTubeless Hutchinson Tires lose more air than tube tires. Pumped up a couple of times.
VerdictBought it used! Stepped up from a '94 GT and it's like night and day. This bike is SICK!
