I had this installed so can't speak about the install. If you follow the instructions it isn't so bad I heard. I am running this with XTR and what a difference from my teflon coated cables. They were in need of change so I broke the bank and went for this. Absolutely awesome. I didn't think there would be much difference from my old cable but there was. Shifting in either directions is nearly effortless. I highly recommend spending the money. You get what you pay for. The rubber grub seals basically seal the cable from shifter to derailleur. If like me and have shift indicators (XTR) they might have to go.

Great set for anyone who habitually runs in the mud. Great cables for those who don't go over there bikes often.
