| Pros | Solid, smooth ride for the price. Also like the mega low gear. | | Cons | a bit heavy | | Verdict | This was a step up from my 1st bike--a $124 Huffy (w/ aluminum frame). I was limited by my budget ($300) & my ignorance (I've only been a mountain bike rider for 1.5 years--& I'm a female over 50, so not likely to be doing much radical riding). Also wanted to buy locally. I did my homework, however, and feel buying this bike was a good move for my current abilities. The derailler has held up well under trying conditions--clay-like mud; my poor shifting skills. I suspect that in a few years (=3), I'll want a better bike. However, I'll definitely be keeping my Giant. |
| Pros | Simple good crank | | Cons | HEAVY 21 gears v breaks | | Verdict | buy if your a simple rider great value |
