Best bike for the money. This is my first MTB after a few road bikes. I love the hardtail and love the G2 geomety - very comfortable. Others bitch about seat discomfort, it's been fine. upgraded to Eggbeater Chromoly pedals, Michelin tires. Grips are no biggie but without a locking mechanism, very anoying. great, great bike at the price.

Bought this bike in Feb of 07. Road for a few months and entered my first race. I thought the bike performed flawlessly. Very smooth on the down hills and certainly light enough on the climbs.

Pros
Love the lightweight design, great braking and the shifting is pretty smooth... This is a very agile hardtail. I ride urban alot so the lockout is nice, but then i get onto the trails and tear it up... greatbike!!!

Cons
I did have a prob shifting once or twice, but i was just out of my gear range, woops!!

Buy this bike for all your typical XC and Urban riding, just dont drop it too far.
