| Pros | Pretty light especially for the price. Mine weighed in at 28.75 pounds. It's outfitted pretty well with Manitou suspension, Deore and Deore LX shifting plus Bontager rims, seat & tires.
It's got the Fisher "feel". | | Cons | Maybe the front derailleur? Under pedal pressure on a steep climb it's reluctant to drop off the middle ring into the granny. It might just be an adjustment though. | | Verdict | A far superior ride compared to the bike it replaced, a 1990 Fisher HK II. I find that the suspension sucks up all reasonable obstacles. There is very little bobbing when I hammer up a hill.
Best of all is the Genesis geometry! The bike handles superbly in the twisties. Since XC singletrack is what I love to ride this bike fits my needs perfectly. | | Recommended for: Experienced XC riders |
