Clif Mint Chocolate Bar Reviews
Description: (
from clifbar.com)
We want a simple approach in an energy bar-not complicated formulas or gimmicks. Don't you? It's just an approach that makes sense. CLIF BARS are a great-tasting, convenient source of energy for any activity. The Natural Energy Bar To perform at your best, the last thing you want to put in your body is a synthetic product. That's why we believe in
using healthy ingredients, such as organic rolled oats, organic roasted soybeans, organic milled flaxseed and organic soy flour. All CLIF BAR flavors are made with 70% organic ingredients. Nutrition for Sustained Energy With a mix of carbohydrates, protein, and fiber, CLIF BAR is a moderate glycemic index food. What does this mean? Basically, you'll benefit from a steady increase in blood sugar levels followed by a gradual decline (sustained energy!). Know what that means? You keep going. Eat a CLIF BAR 1 - 2 hours before a workout or race, and you'll avoid the sugar high and crash associated with refined ingredients and sweeteners. A CLIF BAR delivers the boost you need without unwanted crash and burn. You don't have to be an athlete to enjoy a CLIF BAR, but with the extra energy a CLIF BAR provides you may find it hard not to be.Who knew energy could taste this good?- Contains green tea, a natural source of caffeine- Excellent Source of Fiber- High in Protein- No Trans Fats- Low in Saturated Fat- All Natural- Kosher OU-D

Maybe it's just me, but a minty-chocolate cliff bar is the last thing I'm looking for when I'm out on the trail and getting hungry.

I looked at the prices @ Amazon and they look crazy high! I bought a 6 pack yesterday @ Publix grocery store and they cost $5.49 or they sell each @ .99. They are in the vitamin isle.
Pros
It actually tastes good. All those other types of energy bars taste chalky after a couple bites.
Cons
None

For about $1 you can buy these just about anywhere healthy food is sold, this bar will do the trick, always gives me the energy I need, even if I don't eat while biking. You can't go wrong with it.
Pros
Taste decent, a little blan but it fills and has of carbs for those long rides and is small
Cons
Cost is a little pricey

Good for anyone, but especially those who plan on riding long distance, hardcore, and endurance.

Pros
Great tasting, fuels the muscles with valuable protein for stamina and valuable carbs for energy. The almond/raison bars are the best! Small and compact for storing in packet or camelbak.

Got one of these as swag at a race. I liked the mint flavor, was a better taste than the regular cliff bars.

I prefer to have one about and hour before a morning ride as breakfast and think they work great. I have tried them during a ride but they seem to not go down as well as a gel. Cool mint chocolate flavor is pretty good, I would say near the top. Lemon poppyseed is my fav.

Clif bars are the best bring one with you on your ride. Taste good, great to have once you get done with a long climb. Mint is one of the best flavors.

One of my favorite flavors. Clif Bars are great during or after a ride but they never taste the same when you haven't been riding. This is a crazy deal from Amazon, stock up while it lasts!
