Review
You can produce quality photographs with this camera if you know what you're doing! That being said, if you don't know what you are doing, it will point-and-shoot just fine too. Pretty convenient size for packing.

Pros
Easy to use decent quality. Good pics

Cons
fragile not recommended for trail.

Review
A decent camera small enough to carry along however keep it in a decent case so not to break....The lense when extended is very prone to damage.

Pros
Canon quality & customer service; User friendly (read the instruction manual!); Many settings and creative options for a camera at this price point; Nicely sized LCD screen; Limited factory presets

Cons
Newer Canon cameras have higher megapixel ratings, but for a bring-along trail camera, the Canon A540 is an excellent choice.

Review
Unlike many entry-level digital cameras, the Canon A540 doesn't limit the photographer with factory presets. The user can choose many settings, from aperture priority, shutter-speed priority, auto-choose, manual focus, full program mode, and a video mode that will take quality videos for as long as there's memory on the SD card. The camera is just the right size to fit into a hydration pack, and offers the right amount of options to capture those choice ride shots.
