*****   Add a review
#4 of 109 mountain bike trails in West Virginia
#301 in the world

run the trail south to north. the downhill at the end is amazing! Stunning views and rock out croppings most of the way since it is a ridge trail. This is an advanced, big and epic ride for sure. It is also in jeapordy of becoming a wilderness area, so get on it now! Just google North Fork Mountain trail and see how special it is

Getting there
a few possibilities on starting points.. most people run a shuttle since it is a ridge trail running 24 miles! There are a few trails spurring off it on the northern half, like Redman Run, Landis trail and forest rd 79 (north half is the all single track half) Those can be used to make a loop if you like to do alot of climbing. If you despise climbing, consider doing with a shuttle because you rack up a fair amount of climbing on the ridge trail alone.
