Mountain Biking Leominster State Forest

*****   Add a review
#13 of 223 mountain bike trails in Massachusetts
#1,215 in the world

Most of the trails are excellent, fun and some challenging. Stay off Rocky Pond Trail - the MDC map will show it is a biking trail but it is more for hiking and a very long loop. There are some spots where you will have to hike it and alot of down trees. But over all its a great ride.

Getting there
Take I290 to I190 heading towards Fitchburg/Boston/Route 2. get off at exit 5 an take left on to Route 140 North. Follow this route for a few miles. Bear Right when road splits - staying on 140. Follow for about a mile to Park entrance on the right. Or there is a side lot on the Right just before the main parking area. Parking at this side lot will save you the expense of having to pay to park.

Rider questions

Q: HI! I have 3 kids who aren't very experienced riders, my daughter is 10. Is there a good trail in the Boston area that she could learn on while my boys, also unexperienced, but boys, (12,14) could have fun too? Trying to find fun things to do as a family.
A: Beaver Brook in Belmont or Cutler Park in Newton
