Is a rails to trails project. There are four trail heads, downtown Mineral Wells, Lake Mineral Wells State Park, Garner, and west of Weatherford. The trail section in Mineral Wells is paved and free to use. The section from east of Mineral Wells running to Weatherford is crushed gravel and costs $5. Bikes with wider tires are optimal for riding the gravel sections. This is a great trail for bike packing with camping available at Lake Mineral Wells State Park. There is drinking water and restrooms available at all trail heads.
