Description
Take the gondola up with your bike (option is a grueling climb up the trail). The trail starts down the Why Not ski trail. From there the trail is double track, road and single track down the mountian. There is are sections with rolling short hills, switchbacks and awesome scenery. Being a "flatlander", I had to walked by bike down some of the trail.

Review: Trail starts in Gondola Square and can be used as climing access to Steamboat Mountain. If you are using this trail to go up you can follow Why Not Road or for a technical challenge climb Vally View to Spur Run up to the Gondola. If you're still not tired yet (6.5 mi up so far) go out on Duster to Sunshine to Cathy's Cutoff to Pete's Wicked for a climb that will make you legs and lungs burn!!!!!! I would recommend turning around once you've caught your breath and descent Pete's Wicked down to the Rendezvous and back to the Gondola. Multiple DH only trails await your final descent back into Gondola Square! The route described is not for the faint of heart!!!

Review: Good, fast trail. It is the most popular/used on the mountain. If you're looking for more technical, tougher, and more singletrack check out Creekside. It's a good challenge for me as I am an intermediate.
