Description: Wild Turkey has become one of the most popular trails east of the mountains. Constructed by The Greensboro Fat Tire Society constructed in early 2008.
Wild Turkey has been cleared of most roots, smooth groomed single-track in the beautiful woods along Lake Brandt. The trail is fast, fun, flows great, great berms, rock jumps, skinny's, and even a few climbs.
Come see why riders come from all over North Carolina to ride Wild Turkey!

This trail is GREAT!!! Wonderful job and many many thanks to the Fat Tire Society.... Very well done! Great flowing track but with plenty of good turns, small jumps to get some air, incredible berms, and whoopdedoos that will give you whiplash. Also a great length. I was going to do this and Owl's Roost, but by the time I got done with just this one, I was DONE (keep in mind it was after work plus my first ride this spring, have to "get back in the saddle"). People, get out there and ride this trail to break it in, one or two of the whoopdedoos need to be "worn-in", they are a bit steep but will get better just with use. Be careful on them though, one rider I talked to said he hit one the wrong way, it threw him forward and he racked his ribs on his bars. Also, be careful of the signs, I know the society is working on more permanant signs, but until then, keep your eyes open for the ones on the trees. Final thought, when coming from Bur-mill side, and you cross the bridge and the trail splits again (Nat Greene trail--left, Wild Turkey--right), you do go right but then hang an immediate left. Taking a double right will lead you to a branch of the Nat Greene Trail that goes to a neighborhood. This trail is GREAT!
