Description
Phase 1 is 22 miles of 3 connecting loops that are mostly excellent single track. Most of the Phase 1 trails are quite technical. The White River Bluff Loop is 4.5 miles. Portions of the trail are quite technical, but the views of the White River and North Sylamore Creek Valley are worth the effort. Bald Sc***py Loop is 7.3 miles beginner to intermediate trails through Ozark Forest. Sc***py Mountain Loop is 12 miles of steep Ozark Mountain terrain. Beginners can ride most, but may need to push up/down steep switchbacks. Phase 2 has recently added another 16 miles of trail.

Review: Great trail system! Much of the tread is littered with small to medium rocks and there are many outcroppings to navigate for a fun, technical challenge. Miles of beautiful singletrack with reasonable climbs and ripping descents.

Similar Trail: Syllamo reminds me of Uwharrie in NC and some of the trails around Chattanooga, TN.

Review: Well Marked trail system that has a little bit of everything. Some Very Challenging Technical Sections that require a very good fitness level. Some Very tough climbs and Some Very Sweet Technical descents.

Review: Rode some of the trails here in April 2011. Amazing! Starting out of the campground is a nice one mile climb to get your blood flowing. The loop that goes out to the scenic overlook is like a rock garden in spots. First time I've ever felt defeated on the bike! But then it was 90 degrees and I came from Michigan, with this being my first ride of the season. One of the other loops was simply a blast. Great flow. Best day I'd ever spent on the bike. Highly recommend these trails.

Review: One of the best IMBA Epic trails I have ever ridden! (12 of them overall). This trail has everything, great views, climbs, rocks and downhills. Rode 3 of the loops for about 30 miles and ran out of gas as it was July and 95 degrees. Can't wait to get back and finish off the other two loops!

Review: Don't go in early August unless you like to have spiders hanging from your visor. Probably best to go near their races because trails will be better groomed also. So many trails in such a rural area must be a challenge for local riders to maintain. Be patient to find trailheads. A park employee helped me find the trailhead. It was not easy to find. Great family restaruant in nearby town, "Fifty Six"--don't miss that. Much more technical than Womble.

Similar Trail: Landahl Park, Blue Springs, MO; except Syllamo is much more remote.

Review: I have yet to ride every single inch of these trails but it is ridonculous. Great climbs. Technical, rocky sections that are insane when they are wet and covered in leaves. A great ride for someone with great fitness...otherwise, let me introduce you to the 'Hike-a-Bike' program...

Review: Absolutely love these trails and has something for everyone. From incredibly beautiful views, long climbs, screaming downhills, technical rock hopping, to smooth ultra fun single track, it is really awesome. Wish I could ride there everyday.

Review: An opportunity to ride any trail at Syllamo is a blessing. Syllamo was ranked top 10 mountain bike spots in the nation by a major outdoor magazine recently. With the shortest trail being 7 miles or so and all the others being at least 10 miles, you're in for an amazing time.

Review: There are several options at this park. The best one is the White River Bluff. This one is only about 6 miles and has the best trail. It is also marked better than any of the other trails out there. Ride it clock wise you will have one of the best downhill rides at about mile 2. The Red route is the next best but is a little long if you are a new to MTB. Make sure you look for the Green MTN rd signs if you want to take a shorter loop then 12 miles. Over all fun but AR offers so much more at other trails

Review: This is a great trail. there are 50 miles total. Each loop links together. There are trails for the beginner (red loop) and trails that the experts will leave winded (blue loop). This is a great trail!! You need to check out the stairway to heaven on the blue loop. they have a ride called syllamo's revenge where you ride all 50 miles. It was the hardest thing I have ever tried to do.

Review: Great ride through some challenging Ozark terrain. The numerous bluffs and rock outcroppings make for some technical challenges in between some long downhill runs and numerous switchbacks. If you're riding from October through February - watch for the hunters!

Review: A recent IMBA Epic designation for this trail system is definately deserved. It has everything for those who love to just ride trails. Beautiful, clear stream crossings and winding sweet forest singletrack. Catch a break on a rock outcropping overlooking a beautiful river while watching bald eagles soar. There are close to 40 miles of trail now with more to come. This is truly a trail system that is worth traveling to from anywhere.

Similar Trail: Womble, Tsali Right Loop,
