Description: The ride: Start at the gate in the parking area. The trail is real easy to follow, all turns are marked, and it is easy to follow the bike tracks. The trail is mostly single track, with a short bit of fire road at the beginning. The trail is well designed, with a couple fast downhills and a couple nice rock gardens thrown in. If you want to ride more than the 6 miles, when you get to the turn-around point in the SRA, ride up the road 1/4 mile and ride the Salmon Falls (Darrington) Trail also.

Nice ride. After first 1.5 miles, lots of up and down plus rocks. To drive there, you are better off taking hwy 50 to El Dorado Hills Blvd, turning left off the freeway, and following it until it turns into Salmon Falls road. Green Valley Road does not intersect with Folsom blvd, it is called Blue Ravine road.

Nice trail, almost ran over some hikers. Short but sweet, and great scenery.

Nice after work trail. Not too crowded. Lots of dips and curves. Enough roots and rocks that you have to pay attention. No dull sections. Goes along Folsom Lake - mostly wooded. LOTS of poison OAK! I am in my mid 50's and just started riding - It got me puffing, but it has no long uphill grades, so if you are a bit out of shape you can catch your breath on the short down hills.

Fun quick out-and-back, or at the end, ride up to Darrington Trail (Salmon Falls Trail) and turn it into a 30 mile out and back! Just bring plenty of water in the summer, as it is extremely hot!
