Description: The first mile is relatively smooth, but is also twisty and tight. The middle section that runs along the creek is really rooty and can take away a lot of speed. There are a couple of side trails off the main trail with good downhills and technical sections. Overall, there is little elevation change but your main workout will probably be keeping the pace up over all the rooty sections. The NC Fat Tire Association keeps up this trail among others in the Triad area.

Road this trail for the first time today. Combined it with the Blue Heron trail for a real nice down and back. This trail is pretty level for the most part with a few short rooty up and downs. In general a very nice ride that is not too difficult. Great scenery of Reedy Creek and the lake.

We (Greensboro Fat Tire Society) just completed some trail work and nice upgrades. We built a new boardwalk to fix the wet section next to the creek and reinforced some bridges and removed some roots. If you have not ridden Reedy Fork in the last week, you need to go check it out!

This was my first attemp at singletrack, new to the sport. I found it to be a rooty bumpy trail but a lot of fun and easy enough for beginners. Fairly flat with a few up and downs and several bridges but the views are what really made it a great ride. Borders Reedy Creek and offers great views of wildlife and wetland areas. I'm sure I'll ride it again.

Reedy Fork Creek is a good ride if you are just getting into mountain biking. It ha fair amount of difficulty, and it will have you a tad tired when you double back. The first round, you should own, even with the massive amount of roots and bumps, but when you double back, you will pay for your transgressions. If you are an experienced rider, hit this as a beginner, then go over to burmill Park, hit the big loop and then Owls Roost for a Steller workout.

Similar Trail: Tanglewood (Smaller one)

This trail is still very good, just stays wet more than others, but it needs to be ridden! The new growth is coming in for the season and needs to be pushed back by people riding the trail.

By the way, the review has the name wrong, it is Reedy Fork not Reedy Creek.

I rode this one today after reading the other reviews, and I must say that they described it well. I chose a fully rigid bike for some around Greensboro riding all day today, and this was my last stop. This may be the least elevation change of any trail in the triad, but it still has a rhythm. Nice tight turns abound and combine with the ample roots to make it a worth while challenge. (especially if you leave the brakes alone and try to keep a good speed) The solitude and creek/wetland scenery was very enjoyable. The beaver dam is worth a pause in the pedaling. I met four pedestrians along the out and back trip (twice each) and they were friendly. Keep an eye out, as you may come upon them quickly. Overall, I liked it. I would not go far out of my way to ride this trail, but next time I am in the area I will try it again. (on the full suspension bike)

Similar Trail: It reminded me most of a flat/short version of Horizons Park in Winston - Tanglewood(faster, with much more flow) Owls Roost(a better trail by far)Country Park (more fun than this one too)

Reedy Fork is one of the less ridden trails and does not get its due. It is very close and convenient to my house so when I'm really in the mood to ride quick I hit it a lot. You won't see a lot of other riders but you will see plenty of wildlife. Deer and Beavers abound. The beavers make the water high at times so prepare to get your feet wet. No real big climbs, but if you test your speed here and push for a 9.8 average time, it has a great flow. I like to test myself here by pushing it and staying off the brakes through the turns. The last section is tight and technical with roots and turns in very tight twists. Not a huge challenge but a fun every time.

Similar Trail: Bald Eagle has more roots, Owls Roost is faster.

This is one of the easier watershed trails Greensboro has to offer next to maybe Bald Eagle Trail. Kinda rooty and not much in the way of climbing but a good ride nonetheless. A great beginner trail for those who have done just a bit of riding and are ready to step up a little.

Quick, fun out and back. Lots of roots to keep you on your toes, several bridges (my bike refused one and threw me off - ouch!!), and very little elevation change. Appropriate for beginners. Seems to tolerate moisture well. Fairly close to Bald Eagle (Lake Higgins) if you are looking for a double header.

First mile is good for carrying speed. After first section the trails turns to many root sections. Some of these sections can be technical. Overall the trail is very flat with a few hills that are not very steep.
