Description
Head left from the parking lot and look for the road that goes to the top of the mesa. It is killer steep and deeply rutted--unrideable for most. Once on top, look for the singletrack that heads to the right. This is the loop around the top of the mesa. There is some sweet singletrack up here. Once on top, most of the ride is pretty easy, but there are a few challenging spots around the loop. Make the loop around the top of the mesa, then test your nerve on how fast you're willing to ride the rutted descent back to the parking lot. Although the singletrack on top is good, the climb to it is brutal, considering how short the overall ride is. This ride is only really worth doing if you've done Zimmerman a zillion times and are looking for something new.

Review: Agree that this is only worth doing if you are sick of riding zimmerman trail in billings. There is also another trail that goes around the bottom of the mesa, when you leave the parking lot, stay left and follow around the bottom. This trail is ok, and you don't have to make that brutal climb.
