Mountain Biking Palmetto Bay Trails

***   Add a review
#63 of 115 mountain bike trails in South Carolina
#5,120 in the world

Hilton Head Island is Flat.... but these trails are better than riding on the paved paths.
A small network of single track trails, with short loops (which can be joined together to make one big loop) in local wooded areas in and around the 'Baseball Park' off Plametto Bay Road and Helmsman Way.
Most local riders use these trails in the fall, winter and spring, and are somewhat maintained during these months. You will need to explore the whole area to find all the single track that is there... The trails get overgrown in the summer months from the lack of riders because its just too damn hot to ride!

Rider questions

Q: is this a good trail for someone just starting out

Q: What is address of starting point
A: There are a lot of trails here with a lot of variety. I think Rusty Bucket is a great beginner trail. It's 1 mile long. Tortoise trail is a bit more advanced but there is nothing too technical. Those are 2 good trails for a beginner.
