Description: The trail is composed of whiterock and winds through a forested area before curving back around and following Highway 50 to Springfield. The trail then breaks away and takes you through farm land, wooded areas and into Springfield, where my teenager and I like to stop and get a refreshment from the old-fashioned Soda Fountain. The trail itself is built on old railroad right-of-way property, so the terrain is mostly flat with some gently sloping hills. Not for the Tour de France trainer, but a great family ride.

This trail actually starts in Lincoln and goes all the way to Wabash for a total run of close to 35 miles out. It is crushed limestone the whole way with a horse trail that runs alongside for a good ways. It runs through the Nebraska countryside with quite a bit of tree cover. It is very easy and makes for a nice long ride when you don't want to be overly challenged
