Description
These trails are wide single track trails that have a little of eveything. You get some fast flowing downhill sections followed by some technical uphill. Or you can have technical downhill with some longer smooth climbs depending on the direction you take on the trails. I use this trail as an after work workout two to three time a week. There is a lake with swimming, boating, camping (Tents, Campers, and Cabins), and hiking and horseback riding areas. A great place to bring the family.

Review: This trail system does have some tough climbs but very doable. There is a $3 parking fee during the Spring and Summer season but it can be avoided by taking the entrance to Goose Point Campground on Philpot Lake and driving to the first gate on your left. This will be the old entrance to Fairystone and is used as a walking and biking trail. It is asphalt but after riding around a 1/4 mile you can take a right and get on Little Mountain Falls Trail. There is no parking fee at this entrance. There is one downfall to entering at this location though. After you ride all you want to then you have a grueling climb. I like it because you have no choice but to make the climb and get the rest of**ood work out.

Review: Beautiful trails! The Little Mountain Falls Trail offers demanding climbs and downhills with rocks and roots, 5 creek crossings and a lot of fun. The climb between mile 1 and 2 kicked my butt. Turkey Ridge Trail is up and down, offers some nice views. Do not get confused by Lake Shore Trail name, you will face some steep climbs and downhills as well! Overall great trails.

Review: Note, there is an admission fee charged, $3. Tried the trail today but due to problems with the bike wound up running the Little Mountain Falls Loop. If you take the trail from the trail head you have a steady climb, not impossible but not easy. You can take hard top road to the top of the hill and then cut over to the trail. There is a short loop that is an old fire road. It is not well maintained and is fairly soft with some rough spots. It's doable but it's better and more scenic to take the whole loop. Watch for horses.

Similar Trail: Prince William Park, in Prince William County has several similar trails.
