Sweet fast singletrack that you can ride after heading up Prime Cut or head up 18 Road to the Joe's/Prime Cut/Kessel Junction. The trail is narrow slalom like trail with dips and tight twisty turns. Locals say it can be used an out and back, but with the amount of people coming back down, its not recommended. And you can always say "I made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs"

Review: This is a brilliantly constructed singletrack that will have you in heaven from top to bottom. It's not steep or really tricky but smooth and fast. It's fun, fun, fun...

Review: Another one of those trails that makes you want to break the sound barrier on. Just glad it's made so well that other things don't get broken too.

Review: Kessel Run is like the friendly little brother of Zippity-do-da. It's fast, flowy, and smooth but without super steep sections and dropoff ledges on the side of the trail. Might be a good warmup run to get your guts ready for Zippity. Keep in mind that this is located in the North Fruita Desert so it gets HOT in the summer. I did it in less than twelve parsecs.

Review: This trail is loads of fun for riders of all abilities. You can't find a better way to end a day's ride. It can be ridden up but I wouldn't try it anytime except during very light traffic on the trails. In fact, it would be best if they designated it "down only" like PBR.

Review: Kessel is a blast downhill. Flowing with a few jumps. Beware of the pink tape on the top, it may lead you directly into the trees. As of 8/23/12 the trail has become packed due to the recent rain.

Review: Wow. I hit this every time I'm at 18 Road. Sometimes a couple times. Fast burmed out downhills, strategically placed rocks and loads of fun. Don't, I repeat, don't climb up Kessel Run. This is a downhill trail.

Review: This is a naturally formed perfect arroyo with dirt making a perfect U shape all they way down the drainage. The upper edges of the U are rounded. Pretty much anyone can ride this trail, better riders will hit it faster but ALL love it. The trail mostly rides the sides of the arroyo as you zig zag across it's bottom many times.

Review: One fun trail. I did the trail downhill and it was twisty, turney, flowy and jumpy. Add tech by going fast. Trail follows a dry stream bed that does not see water often. Have fun, go fast, pump and carve.

Review: update: Rode it again recently, this is one of the most fun trails I've ever ridden. Just straight fun, ride this trail! Stupid amounts of fun. Wicked fast, flowy singletrack, what more do you need? Winding and tight, a short ride to get your fix. One of the most fun stretches of singletrack I've ridden (nearly as good as some Crested Butte singletrack). Great ride for a 2nd ride of the day after you've had a couple beers.

Review: A great trail for after the big ride and right before you've had one too many in camp. Stay on the single track and keep it single, over the rocks, not around them please.

Review: Kessel Run is a great slalom style trail built for a fun way down after a dteady climb to the upper trailhead. I would recommend taking prime cut up then Kessel Run down. This makes for a fun evening ride.

Review: This is a great trail with tones of turns and small jumps. If you don't enjoy this trail its because you suck, not the trail. Beginner to expert, this trail is a great little warm up or cool down. Hikers go else where - we're riding fast down this one.

Review: Kessel is cool man,yet another ride in the mountain bike theme park of 18 road. One of those downhill trails that flow back and forth and make you feel like your slip sliding away in a dream back to your childhood.hahahaha.nice fun trail to rail with gravity on your back side.

Review: I could ride this single trail for the better part of a day.... and not get bored. It's full of berms, rocky sections, dips and humps... all very fast and very fun. There's no lung-busting climbs or unmanagable drops; just a well laid ribbon of singletrack heaven.

Review: A bobsled run for bikes. Go as fast as you think you can handle, it's hard to imagine having more fun on a bike (or any other way, for that matter). Beginners can handle it without being intimidated and experts can rip it. The best place in Fruita for a group of mixed abilities.

Review: Yeah, this is definitely a fun ride. Endless swoopy turns thru a gulch that you wish would go on forever. You can coast down it but I just can't resist pedaling -- I just love being on the edge on this trail. It is rideable by anyone; I used to take my kids down in all the time because it is such a good way to get the feel of a bike on a narrow trail. Once they get comfortable here they are ready to move on to the harder trails in the area.

Review: This is the most fun trail ever!!!! It's fun for any level of riding. There is nearly no peddling required if you just want to cruise, but stay off the brakes and this trail just takes you away. I have heard it several times described as "feeling like your on a rollercoaster". I agree for sure!

Review: Rode it down after taking Prime Cut up. There were some guys that were shuttling Kessel over and over, and I can see why. It is a fast blast on sweepy curvy singletrack. You can tell this trail gets A LOT of use. The trail itself is cupped pretty badly. It's a victim of its own popularity. However, the cupping of the trail does make for some nice berms to rail the curves on.

Review: This trail was not hard at all but it was fun. The single track that twisted in and out of the dry creek bed made the way down from The top of prime cut really fun.
