Description: Sweet fast singletrack that you can ride after heading up Prime Cut or head up 18 Road to the Joe's/Prime Cut/Kessel Junction. The trail is narrow slalom like trail with dips and tight twisty turns. Locals say it can be used an out and back, but with the amount of people coming back down, its not recommended. And you can always say "I made the Kessel Run in less than twelve parsecs"

There are two words to explain this trail fast and flowy. I could ride this trail all day long. Sweet jumps with really tight turns.

This is a great trail with tones of turns and small jumps. If you don't enjoy this trail its because you suck, not the trail. Beginner to expert, this trail is a great little warm up or cool down. Hikers go else where - we're riding fast down this one.

Arnolda14 has put it right. You can't help but smile when riding this thing. Reminded me of being a kid on my BMX bike. Sometimes a ride doesn't have to be a technical conquest.

Kessel is cool man,yet another ride in the mountain bike theme park of 18 road. One of those downhill trails that flow back and forth and make you feel like your slip sliding away in a dream back to your childhood.hahahaha.nice fun trail to rail with gravity on your back side.

Similar Trail: Anything on 18 road.

HOW FUN IS THAT?? Anyone can ride this trail but nobody - I mean NOBODY - can ride it without getting a huge grin on. Serious fun!

Similar Trail: Phil's World - some Fruita locals call it "Kessel Run on Steroids".

I could ride this single trail for the better part of a day.... and not get bored. It's full of berms, rocky sections, dips and humps... all very fast and very fun. There's no lung-busting climbs or unmanagable drops; just a well laid ribbon of singletrack heaven.

A bobsled run for bikes. Go as fast as you think you can handle, it's hard to imagine having more fun on a bike (or any other way, for that matter). Beginners can handle it without being intimidated and experts can rip it. The best place in Fruita for a group of mixed abilities.

Yeah, this is definitely a fun ride. Endless swoopy turns thru a gulch that you wish would go on forever. You can coast down it but I just can't resist pedaling -- I just love being on the edge on this trail. It is rideable by anyone; I used to take my kids down in all the time because it is such a good way to get the feel of a bike on a narrow trail. Once they get comfortable here they are ready to move on to the harder trails in the area.

This is the most fun trail ever!!!! It's fun for any level of riding. There is nearly no peddling required if you just want to cruise, but stay off the brakes and this trail just takes you away. I have heard it several times described as "feeling like your on a rollercoaster". I agree for sure!

Rode it down after taking Prime Cut up. There were some guys that were shuttling Kessel over and over, and I can see why. It is a fast blast on sweepy curvy singletrack. You can tell this trail gets A LOT of use. The trail itself is cupped pretty badly. It's a victim of its own popularity. However, the cupping of the trail does make for some nice berms to rail the curves on.

This trail was not hard at all but it was fun. The single track that twisted in and out of the dry creek bed made the way down from The top of prime cut really fun.

This trail is not very techical but has some serious flow. Great for beginners to experts.

Sweet-flowing singletrack in Bookcliffs area that winds around in a wash.
