Description: Trail found in Jim Parham's "Off the Beaten Track". Directions shortened for simplicity. 4.6 mile forest road loop through fields, past ponds, an old homesite, and finishing up past newer lake homes on Lake Blue Ridge. Head east on Shady falls Rd out of the parking lot. Just beyond the powerline crossing you will make a right onto Turkey Farm Rd/FS795. about 2 miles in, make a left on Hickey Knob Road. Take a left when this dead ends into Fish Hook Pt Rd. Left on Brown's Cove Rd. Left on Shady Falls Rd and follow back to the parking lot. 4 miles of forest rd with about a 1/2 mile of paved riding.

~4.5 miles of mellow forest rd riding to cool your legs from the nearby Stanley Gap, Green Mt, Flat Creek and Long Branch trails. After the initial climb over the knob, the rest of the forest roads are a smooth riding. Never been one for forest road riding but this made a good recovery ride.
