Description: The ride is relatively easy with a few gradual but easy climbs. The look from the top over Lake Superior is fantastic. Take the earliest shuttle over and make a day of it. I enjoy the clockwise ride. Last shuttle off is 4:30 you can camp on the island if you want but permits are needed. The ferry ride in 2008 was I believe under $10

This trail (loop) is relatively easy with only a few gradual climbs toward the back. You are rewarded with great views of Lake Superior and some of Pictured Rocks. The trail is wide and there are no major obstacles. I gave this a 4 not as a difficulty but for the views and the overall enjoyment of this ride. On one visit I spotted a mother bear w/cubs and a bald eagle. Pack a lunch and head down to the beach for a break just make sure you are back at the last ferry off the island
