Description: This is a pretty easy ride and a great one for a leisurely ride in Colorado. Little elevation change, a great ride to get acclimated to the elevation in the Springs. Hard pack with soem tight, twisty sections. Great for beginners.

Great, red hardpack. This ride is pretty casual.

Probably the best place in the world to take a newbie. Nothing threatening here--just some easy singletrack in a rare combination of civilization with crazy views. Get up on the Niobara trail for some minor technical challenge (switchbacks and rocks).

Most of these trails are easy. Just a good simple ride with great views. Not alot of trails open to mountain biking. Fun to ride at night if you have a headlight.

Just got back from riding this trail. Probably not technical enough for the likes of some, however, I had a great time riding it. Twisty, fast trails, some decent, short climbs, and even better if you work the Mariopara trail into it as well. All in all, it was a good morning ride.* Review edited 6/21/2007 I rate it a 6...

Heavy rain yesterday left a lot of the trails here soft and muddy, but still a great time. Despite its reputation as an "easy" ride, there are definitely some tight spots and obstacles to be found. Can't beat the scenery.

I am a beginner with determination. This trail was challenging for me because of the downhill with stairs, the steep sides and the unfortunate washout areas because of the rain we have gotten lately. We were on the trails 98% of the time, only took the road to get back to the visitor's center. The scenery is amazing...seems silly to say because it is just so awesome. I am so lucky to live here.

To be honest, the only reason I ride here is because it's a short ride to get there from work and I can easily do it for lunch or at the end of the day. The trail network is very limited; the park has segregated a tiny portion of the SE corner of the park for mountain biking. I prefer Ute Valley Park over GoG.

This trail is not to be confused with Ute Valley Park, a different trail system located in the Rockrimmon area. The Ute Trail at Garden of the Gods is located just inside the park at the 31st street entrance. The trail starts on the left side of the road.
