Description: There are a ton of trails in the village, each of them labeled and fairly well blazed. We rode Brooks Cove trail and it was a blast. To find the trail, take the road down toward the banquet hall (past the round house) and head uphill on the road. You'll see a trailhead in between a couple of cabins, take this up the hill. Numerous options here, make your own loop and enjoy. You can get a good bit of climbing in depending on the loop you choose, more than you'll find at Tsali.

A race was just held here, and as a lead up to race time several of the trails were maintained and modified. Trees were cleared, leaves were blown off, and several kickers, a massive berm, and a ledge drop were added to the downhill trail. The trails used for the various races are now all in excellent shape!

Fun trail, but needed some work. Some of the trails are in complete disuse, and others just need a tree or two cut up. In short, this place is steep and rough and tumble, a lot like a little pisgah as the guy below me mentioned. If you have the opportunity to head to pisgah, I'd say go for it, but It's over a hundred miles away from here, so if you're in the area this is definitely worth it! Being just down the road from Tsali, this offers a nice challenge compared to the ease of those trails. 2 must ride trails: Lower Lewellyn Cove and Turkey Chute.

ehhh, It was OK, I have ridden almost everywhere, and Fontana Village is like a baby Pisgah, rough and difficult, except much shorter and not even close to as beautiful.

Similar Trail: Pisgah is where you should go if you like this kind of riding, there is so much more and it is so much more beautiful.

This is the toughest trail I have ridden to date. Not for the beginner. But it was a great experience.

15 trails are listed. So far I have ridden Lewellyn Cove and pieces and parts of some of the other trails above the village. L. Cove is listed as a 3 mile loop, and is a gradual climb, followed by a technical, gully-rocky downhill, followed by rolling singletrack and burst climbs to finish. Quite a few trees are down at this time. More trail reveiws and map to follow.

Rode the Icycle cross country race. This race is held at Fontana Village the first week in February. It is a climber race with some sweet downhills. The last section of the cross country uses the same trail as the downhill race. The downhill is ran at night. It is worth the extra driving time to get to this trail system instead of stopping at Tsali. Great trails and lots of options for spending the night.
