Description: Fast rolling singletrack that loops around Fanshawe Lake, loop is about 24km with options at times for easy and more difficult sections (marked with a double black diamond). Trail is very easy to follow, just keep with the blue and white markings on the trees / rocks. Make sure your going in the correct direction as well (clockwise on even numbered days, counter-clockwise on odd) http://www.thamesriver.on.ca/Parks/Fanshawe_Lake_Trail.htm

This is a well tailored trail for any type of rider. The loop on its own is about 20k almost exactly, but there are a few black and double black diamond sections that you can hit and can add about 2k on the total. The main trail is simple and ranges from technical to very fast and smooth with single track and wider track. There are a couple sections that utilize road in the trail too. You can be a beginner on this trail and do fine, and go as fast as you can as an expert, hitting all the double black diamonds. If you go with a group it is $12 a vehicle.* Review edited 7/12/2011

It's a great trail to ride on good days, with nice, smooth singletrack followed by some steep, short hills and climbs. The trail is well maintained - a good rider will be able to ace the trail without stopping or putting a foot down. There's some difficult sections and you'll cross over a few creeks. If you're looking to challenge yourself, try to do the whole loop in under an hour (the closest I've got is a 1:08) - that'll give you a serious workout.

About 22Km around the Fanshawe Lake. Lots of easy singletrack, and some intermediate sections that are optional and clearly marked.

Easy trail to follow. Well marked. Can get very wet and muddy in spots. i'd wait for it to dry up a bit and to be fair you should go twice so you can ride it out both ways. there is good mix of terrane. There are a few spots along the way marked with diamonds that take reconnecting detours off the main trail - recommended. Really liked the weavy trail through the pines trees and the creek crossings. $5 to ride for the day 20 km+ of trail.
