Description: the paddock drive entrance is called redtail hawk trail. go on that untill after the water tower then go left on stream view trail. this is pretty steep firetrail downhill with some switchbacks and when you get towards the bottom it breaks off into sigletrack and this is super tight very technical riding. this portion is not very long and then it dumps down into the creek where there are a few 1 or 2 foot flat-to-flat drops across the creek. i wish this trail was longer, maybe my shovel and i can take care of that

Warning!!! this trail is a mess. I went there last week week my wife and trail is un-rideable due to footprints of the cows. It has a nice view, when you are on the ridge. Other than that, it's a trail that ride it once and not need to come back for a life time.

As a total MTB newbie, I was looking forward to checking out this trail after reading the reviews. That excitement quickly faded after having to walk up a good part of the first hill and several hills after that. I realize that I'm new to the sport but I'm certainly not out of shape and just the grades and number of hills here warrants something more than an easy or beginner rating. If my legs were the size of tree trunks, I might have had a better time. Also be aware that there are sections of the trail that are fairly thick with cow dung. The cows themselves didn't seem too much of a problem, most of them seemed pretty skittish.

The initial climb is short and steady from the trailhead. Once you reach the water tower, there is a fire road the winds around the hills. If you turn at the bottom of the first main downhill (unmarked) this will give you the longest ride. It takes you down along the creek. There is a small trail off to the left (no bikes) that provides for some technical single track riding to the final cattle gate at the bottom. If you turn left at the 2nd downhill (marked) you will end up at a very steep final downhill to the cattle gate. There you will see the termination of the single track run through the creek. Turn left on Morgan once you reach the street and head back towards Paddock. Max one hour loop.

rode this early in the morning but missed the trail to left. went back down the way I went up. There are two gates you have to pass through but I needed the break anyway!

This is a nice and easy ride once you have made it past the uphill pull from the parking area. Good ride with decent views. Good for an out and back after work or school.

Similar Trail: Las Trampas Trail

We did a decent little out and back on the Red Hawk Trail. Only muddy spot was right before the cattle gate near the water tower.
