Description
This is my favorite trail of all I've riden. The trails are marked very well and there are a lot of points where you can get off the trail or join on it to make your own personalized ride. It is easy enough for the not so experienced, but it can be a good ride for the experts as well. Not the most technical or the hardest workout in the world, just moderate, but had to rate it a 10 overall and the goofy rating system wouldn't let me unless i rated the technical aspects a 10. (One side note - no logs or rock gardens or any rooty areas). About 98% single track with a little two track in there. Its a very smooth ride with a bunch of different areas along the trail. You start with mild hills and lots of smooth turns and small elevation changes. It goes into a more open straight away area, then into the climbs. This is a smooth ride with lots of different terrain (being half deciduous and half coniferous). Its got switchbacks, fair climbs, differing types of climbs, smooth terrain, and a great layout. Very beautiful and its free. Perfect fun ride.

Review: This is my local trail and I have ridden weekly for the last two years. Mostly an easy trail with a few moderate sections. It crosses a paved trail several times and does give you options to bail. I have been cleaning up the sand pits. Is it an epic ride? Nope. But not a bad one if you are in the area. 6 miles on the bike computer, of mostly singletrack and a couple places for double track. The first half is fairly easy, my son of 6 ride it. The 4th section is a bit challenging and has the longest climb. Things calm down for the next couple of sections. The last one has a fast downhill section then runs you up and down the ridge. It will get the heart going a bit. Then you are back at the parking lot. This is a good multi-lap trail, otherwise you will feel you have not done much. There is also 2.5 miles of paved trail that is lighted at night. I have 72 photos of Aspen Park on my facebook. Search for "david earl peck jr" and then look for the Aspen park album. * Review edited 8/12/2012

Review: Mix of some fast flat sections, short up/downhills and some moderate climbs & decents. Some rooty areas, nothing too technial or challenging, but a nice ride that you can lengthen or shorten as you need.

Review: I like to ride this trail if I have an hour or so at lunch time or something. Its a 5.5 mi loop , a couple nice little climb, a little bit technical through the woods, and some good areas to just mash and flow.

Review: A friend of mine really talked these trails up. I was a bit disappointed. While this is a well maintained & thought out trail, it isn't that long & I wouldn't go out of my way to ride here again. If I was going to be in the area, I would bring my bike & ride it again.

Review: Very easy to follow? I guess not in the fall. With all of the leaves down, this is not the best time to go for your first time. I lost the trail many times. According to my garmin watch, 5.5 miles, and not real good flow. It has some decent decents and a couple of decent off camber climbs in the last mile and a half. I had always wanted to ride this loop, and was feeling disapointed when done. Very tight, twisty, Rooty, and just kind of choppy.
