Pros: Good build and good components. The bike handles excellent and is very light at least when compared to other aluminum hard tails.
Cons: None Yet.
Recommendation: The bike (2009 XTC 1) retailed for $1,300 I picked it up Feb 2010 on clearance for $800. I've put over 600 miles on it last year 2010 and so far this year I've put another 400 miles on it. I must say after owning a Trek and Haro hard tails the Giant is awesome. When commuting on pavement I maintained 12-13 mph on the Trek and Haro. On the XTC 1, 17-18 mph this is on pavement, on hard packed dirt 13-14 mph requires little effort. Not bad for 47 year old guy trying to lose weight to help his diabetes.
