Description
Park your car at the lot near Tilden Indian Camp and start off going back

down Central Park Dr a little ways and turn left at Lone Oak Rd. Continue

left onto Read Loop Rd. for a mile until you reach the intersection for

Wildcat Creek Trail at Jewel Lake. Continue on Wildcat Creek Trail for

several miles on mainly wide fire road until you reach the end at Alvarado

Staging area. Trail is fairly flat and the speed is relaxed. Not many steep

climbs or descents, but good for an easy long family ride or recovery ride.

Enough room to pass hikers on the trail who are friendly to you as long as

you are courteous and friendly to them. Give yourself a couple of hours to

finish this out and back if you're riding at a medium pace. Plus, if you have

kids, it's fun to take them out to Animal Farm near the Indian Camp parking

lot in Tilden. Great trail to get your feet wet in the world of mountain

biking. It was my very first offroad ride and it was perfect for just getting

comfortable on a mountain bike. Happy Trails!
