Review: Under construction, but well on its way to becoming Palm Beach County's best trail.

Review: Great local trail. It has a bit of everything And gets better every week. New signs have been added in the last week or so, making the trail much easier to follow. The mid section after Garfield's head gets real slow - lots of roots - but it opens back up by the drop. Still some water just after muddy pass, but it's nothing you can't ride thru. Like I said, much has been done in just the last few weeks. Some black diamond sections are under way, you can catch a glimpse here and there of some gnarly stuff under way. By the end of the summer it should be even sweeter. Much more tropical and dark than Quiet waters, and much slower in some spots. Great little challenging 3-mile loop, with the potential to get even better! Definitely a must do if you're in the area.

Review: The best in palm beach county. FORCE, inc is doing a great job maintaining this trail. I just started doing this type of sports 6 months ago and this trail taught me a lot of technical skills. I found this trail more challenging than pinehurst and dyers park. I heard about Amelia, quiet waters and markham, of course but they are way too far from my place. Too busy with my other schedules and this trail is only 8 miles away from my place. Good job FORCE, may the force be with you.

Review: Sorry, not impressed. I rode there this week and was pretty disappointed. There is ZERO flow, it's so tight and "small" feeling that I couldn't get into any rhythm. I couldn't see more than 5 feet in front of me because of the overgrowth, so I never knew what was coming. The one "hill" is a gravel pile. There are also numerous small, pointed tree stumps about 6" tall scattered around the trail. That's not an obstacle, it's dangerous. There are also several forks in the trail with no signs as to what they are. I recommend going to Markham or Oleta.

Review: Its a great trail for an intermediate level indeed. Some big drops and camel humps along the way and pretty technical inside the terrain full of crazy roots sprouting all over the place, its was my 4th time until i brought a friend of mine and he went on that big drop ahead sign leads to the small bridge, he kinda misses the sign so got an accident head first on the ground and almost got paralyzed, i put him on his back log roll method from his rt side position.. Call 911 and got the trauma hawk heli.. Im just glad he's ok and stabilized. Just stay extra careful folks.. Life goes on and lesson learned!!!

Review: Yesterday my brother and I were in the park, and we really enjoyed the trails of it, is quite varied in regard to obstacles and technique. It's pretty slow but fun. Not very long but with 2 or 3 laps you can dominate and make a good workout.

Review: We rode this trail for the first time - last night! Testing lights for the Georgia 24 Hour next month. Very tight and rooty but lots of fun. I'm sure we'll come back in daylight to see the rest of the place. BTW if you do ride at night, park outside the gates. The ranger met us and let us know he would be closing the gate, and made sure he didn't lock us in. Good bloke.

Review: Suprisingly very good trail. Some really good climbs. A couple of ridges along water. A lot of shade, some mud (very little) I found it to be very technical. It is a slow trail. There is a cool bridge, not a lot of drops or jumps. I will ride it again. Short ride, about 1 hour the first time. Free admission to park

Review: After having been to Quiet Waters, Markham, Oleta and Amelia Earthart, this park is a nice variation from the rest. It is about 2.5 miles loop, but don't let this discourage you. It is a challenge of its own. The average speed is much slower than the rest. Myself I averaged around 6 to 7 mph, with the occasional foot on the ground and complete stop. The difficulty or challenge in this trail is the constant small adjustment you have to do in order to keep going steady, balanced and keep your pedals from getting stuck in all the exposed root and branches. The majority of the trail has a thick coverage from the tree canopy, which in my opinion makes it kind of spooky and eerie. It is not really technical but some fun little hills and one single jump of 3-4 feet that you have to watch for because the landing zone do not have much room! No a ton of log overs but the few were fun. Do not go when is raining, it gets nasty muddy and it looses the fun factor. This will be my alternate trail from now on, when not going to Quiet Waters. It was fun and different than the rest. The only problem that I had to deal with was a lot of "low overhanging branches". I found some of the low overhanging branches ready to take my head off. Watch for the section where the Garfield's effigy head is hanging, you will get hit in the head when starting to climb the pipes before the Garfield's head. Overall, I strongly suggest it if you are looking for something different and quick to do! Definetly not for beginers. Great scenery, but please do not get distracted, it can hurt you real bad!!!!!* Review edited 4/5/2012

Review: Great local ride. There has been some recent expansion on the south section where a 1/2 mi ridge loop and a nice bridge have been built. Thanks to the club for this work. Less sugar sand than Pinehurst, more shade and shorter than QW. Expect to lift the front wheel a bit on this trail.

Review: Half of the trail consists of basic small to medium size hills to climb and descend with the trail being mostly smooth dirt. There is a 3-4 foot drop and a short bridge but nothing too technical or challenging. The other half is a lower speed technical section that runs through the forest. It's about 50/50 dirt/sand with a lot of roots and log overs. Overall it's a good trail to visit if you live nearby and want to get a quick ride in. It's still in the process of being built up and has the potential to be pretty good. It gets flooded easily so wait a day or two after rain to ride it.

Review: After having raced in NJ over 15 years ago and not having been on trails since then, I tried quiet waters, pinehurst (near my house) and now Regional. I liked this one the best of all three. Not really technical but some fun little hills. Not a ton of log overs but the few were fun. The sugar sand was not that bad (way better than pinehurst) but it was a bit buggy. This will be my go to trail for a little while. It was fun and quick. The only problem that I had to deal with was a lot of "low bridges". Being 6' 4", I found some of the low overhanging branches ready to take my head off. Overall, I strongly suggest it.

Review: Quickly becoming my go to trail in PBCounty. FORCE has done a great job cutting away some of the frustrating roots and now the trail is starting to show its true flow potential. This trail gets the heart pumping with shell rock mountain and other ups and downs located at the beginning and end. There are some sugar sections but nothing that will ruin a good ride. Last ride I even came across a full size deer!

Review: This trail keeps getting better and better every time I ride it. The crew that maintains the trail is doing such a good job, this has become my favorite trail to ride now in the WPB area.

Review: This trail is getting better all the time and Gary, et. al. have done a great job in maintaining & improving it. Please - if you ride this trail, put a little time in. There's always trimming that can be done and I've been advised that there's a wheelbarrow on-site. Next time you ride, just bring a shovel and/or some hedge clippers and feel free to grab a load of shell rock and fill in some sugar-sand pockets or trim back some limbs after or before you ride. It doesn't take long but it makes a huge difference.

Review: I rode this trail the other day and I must say this is a very underrated trail in Palm Beach county. I have ridden all the other trails and for this area it is the best. I would to thank Force for doing a great job in creating this trail also Palm Beach county parks. Very little sugar sand was found not like Pinehurst!

Review: This trail was a surpise to me after reading some of the other reviews. I found it to start slow and build steadily to a tight and technical single track ride that was very different from the trails I typically ride. There are several very steep climbs and as many steep drops that stepped up the fun factor for me, but the real fun was the final mile of tight twisty single track with all the off camber root and obstical crossings..I dare you to ride this short trail and NOT put your foot down once! If you do it PLEASE post!! Fun trail, going back with a video camera.

Review: I just finished riding this trail and like the other reviews the beginning is basic just a trail with some hills. No cover so watch the summer sun! The middle definitely piked up the difficulty and offered good obstacles and tested my balance. I will definitely ride this trail again. Tip: make sure your not the first one to ride or you will hit all the spider webs in the middle. If your bored of Pinehurst and can't make it to Markham then this is the place to try. I don't think you will be disappointed.

Similar Trail: I would say take some of the middle/easier parts of Markham and mix with the harder parts of Pinehurst and you get Delray Regional

Review: Would definetly agree with the other reviews. Would be nice to see it cleaned up a bit and more defined, but had a good time. Went out as a beginner 1/17. The middle part I had to jump off a few times and walk over some crazy logs/tree branches, but it was rewarding @ the end. Beginning and end were fun and what I would consider relatively easy, but the middle was definetly challenging. Doesn't leave a lot of margin for error between trees. Will definetly give it another shot, but have to clean my cuts and bruises first.

Review: Rode this trail today 11/28 and I have to agree with the first review. the start and end of the trail is fast and fun, somewhere in the middle it gets very technical and at times just a little to much. The trail could use some reworking of obstacles and cut back a few limbs to make the trail flow better. Also spotted three possible water moccasins crossing the trail on the section close the the lake so if you need to take a break that would not be the spot!

Review: Much more challenging than expected. I rode this on 11/13 and was expecting to blow through twice and head home. This trail starts off easy and flat, then moves into some built up dirt berms (sp?) and then gets gnarly in the back section with lots of tough root sections and log piles. This is a pretty new trail and really needs more riders to smooth things out. Bring an appetite for spiders and don't look around while riding or you're likely to end up in a tree. Not a trail for beginners although the very beginning and very end are deceivingly easy. Should be lots of fun once more people hear about and ride it.
