Description: The Van Michael Trail is a 3.9 mile directional trail that changes with the day of the week. Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays are counter clockwise. The entrance to Van Michael on these days is located on the Mosquito Flats beginners trail. On Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday the trail entrance is on the Mosquito Bites beginners trail. Van Michael is listed as advanced difficulty but its more due to the aerobic challenge rather than technical challenge. The majority of the trail is smooth but you will encounter roots and several rock sections. This trail is constantly up and down and twisty the entire way.

I had not ridden the trail before the upgrades. After it was finally reopened, I rode it.......very fun and flowy. Will ride it more often.

A great technical trail, you gotta pay to play. Enjoy new berms and jumps that the awesome volunteers of SORBAwoodstock.org have made. Without them, these trails wouldnt be what they are today.

Advanced riders only! I have ridden this trail twice now. Each being a different travel direction. Doesn't matter what day it is either way it is a difficult trail. I have been riding for a long time. The whole trail feels like Hurl Hill. Rock ledge caught me off guard nearly turned ugly.

Nice trail with good climbs, downhill sections, switchbacks and technical challenges. A real gem very close to Atlanta. My personal favorite in close proximity.

Best trail. If you have to choose between This one and South Loop do this one. Its more fun. South loop is not as fun because on the inclines there are many obstructions that kill your momentum.... I'm still new to the sport still learning uphill obstacles. Van Michael was great though. Only had to get off on that nasty Hurl Hill and the crazy rock ledge....

This is one of my favorite and most ridden trails. 2 or 3 tough areas that will challenge your technical riding skills, great down hills, some cardio killers, it's a blast. Make a day out of it and ride South Loop and Dwelling.

I dig this trail. Great climbing and descending, plenty of flow, and several cool sections including nice switchbacks, log rides and skinnies, and exposed sections. Definitely a must-ride at Blankets!

This is a fun trail with very few technical spots on the trail. The difficulty comes from all the climbs that you have to do whichever way you ride it. It is a lot of fun and has some very fast downhill sections.

This is a great trail for aerobic training. Not very technical. A sh*t load of climbs either direction...
