Description
3.5 mile Tower Loop is one of the more advanced trails in the FATS system but advanced is a bit of a misnomer. Very little about this trail is actually hard. In fact, it's a very enjoyable ride with only a little elevation gain and a couple of roots to challenge you.

Review: The best advise I can give is park at the NW end to access this trail. The connector is a road, then a gravel road that cars ride on. After all of that, you arrive at a parking lot to access the trail just feet away. This trail is less traveled than trails to the south east. A bit more technical but not much. No scenery, no dabs and no stream crossings. I never saw the tower but I guess it was up a side trail that I did not ride.

Review: Tower is one of the better 2-3 loops at FATS. Deep Step and Big Rock are the other two stellar, non flat loops.

Similar Trail: Deep Step and Big Rock at FATS.

Review: FUN! seems like you are either going up or riding down a section of trail the whole time. Narrower tread (along with Big Rock) then the other loops at FATS. Great place to ride on busy days at FATS since the northern trails get less riders. I prefer this loop clockwise.

Review: The other loop on the north end of the FATS system, Tower is accessed from Big Rock and feels like an extension of it as well. You'll see the big fire tower that it was named after when you ride. Too bad they won't let people climb to the top and check out the views. :( If you can't ride all the trails at FATS in one day, I feel like Tower and Big Rock should be tackled separately as one continuous 7 mile ride. They just have a different feel to them than the rest. Good, but different.
