Description: Trail starts with some ups and downs with one steep drop. Then it climbs a dirt road before it goes into the woods for several miles of twisty singletrack. There are some open areas with a good grassy climb. This is a new trail and more singletrack will be added in the near future.

The Rock is awesome. The dual slalom is legit, and the trails are pretty cool. It's a good place to go to go biking fast. The trails are wide enough you can really put your foot down, and the dual slalom is hard packed (clay?) and you really get moving. Beginner friendly!

There is a new little addition to the front technical section. The "Strobe Drop" breaks off the main trail and climbs maybe 20 feet to a left turn, then snakes between a couple close together trees and the rest is gravity. There is a small S curve to a downed log with a dirt crossing that rolls really smooth, then a straight line to the ledge drop that goes back into the bowl. The ledge drop is about a foot and a half from lip to dirt, but you can get about 5 feet out of it if you hit it faster. There will be a higher ladder bridge there in the future so come ride it and get used to it while it's small! NOW there is something memorable, haha.I would consider this short section a black diamond according to the IMBA guidelines.

Not bad, can be difficult to figure out where you are but somehow you never get totally lost. It's a fun ride just nothing that makes the ride memorable

Fantastic trail with a grand variety of features. A good amount of elevation changes, a good slalom built by the U of Florida recently, lots of roots, and GALAXY and I try to maintain the trail by cutting it back. I can't rate it's difficulty as I think my skill raters as intermediate, but I've conquered almost every difficult feature. I can jump, drop, and get around every difficult feature that it has, and it's always fun.

Similar Trail: Since I've only ridden here commonly, and Santos once, I can only recommend Santos. GALAXY and I rode Santos recently and I'd recommend it as the only alternative. San Felasco, I only rode very green so I don't know a lot about it.

Love this trail! Been riding it frequently these last couple months after a layoff. I would like to try powerlines to if I'm in no danger of getting shot!?

It's getting better, new ladder bridge in the pine section is awesome and more to come.A couple log crossings are in need of help and those will be rebuilt soon as well.

One of the best XC trails I've rode in Fla. lotsa long gradual decents peppered with switch backs, ups and downs, some log jumps. You can coast for along time or pedal and fly. The name is appropriate cause the ground is very hard and fast. All in all a very good trail, Good job guys! All that and a dual slalom course

Anyone interested in helping fix up the trails and build some more obstacles let myself or Galaxy know. It will happen after the 4th weekend. Thanks

Very good trail. Lots of fun for beginners and more experienced riders alike.

Nice trail. Look for the trail right next to the parking area to the right or left of the paved road (its a loop around the property). You can also ride the paved road in until it branches out to the right into a dirt road that will take you to the back of the property where the really nice trails are.

I ride this trail at least twice a week and the one big ladder bridge is in need of serious repair.I'd love to come help fix it if anyone ins interested.I also have ideas for small bridges that would keep up the speed in certain areas. As for the beginning, that needs work and can be made very fun if we could work together. The ramps suck and are to steep, all they do is bottom out my suspension. Other than that, great trail,I love the screaming downhill into the tech section in the woods for the 1 foot drop!

Similar Trail: San Fealasco

Just rode this trail, lots of fun. Wraps around a big open field and has a big climb and downhill across the field. Not super technical but has some intermediate level obstacles including a few skinnies and a teeter totter. All in all a great ride for just over an hour or so.

Very smooth fast trail. Just barely meets intermediate requirements. Although not technical at all, very fun ride. A little short, so you might ride it twice.

Rode this trail in October while camping at Ginnie Springs. Definitely the highlight of the weekend. Lots of fun, not difficult if you're confident on your bike. Similar to Turkey Creek in Melbourne but with more elements (drops, climbs, skinnies). Similar to some parts of Santos also (Twister). Lots of fun, will be there again next time I'm in Gainnesville.

Similar Trail: Santos, Tillman Canal, Turkey Creek

Not a bad trail for experienced riders, good amount of climbs and slight downhill runs that keep you moving.I was surprised to see some of the wooden structures out there and look forward to going back to hit those when I'm not in such sad shape.Lots of shade, well maintained, good changes in elevation and scenery but poorly marked.I'd happily ride this trail again and possibly bring a few markers to put up.Trip computer read a touch over 5 miles but I skipped a section.

Rode this trail once on a two week visit to Gville. Really nice single track, well maintained. There were people out there building stuff over downed trees, jumps, etc.

This trail is fantastic for an after work aerobic workout. I rode it today for the first time. I can't believe this is only 5 miles from my house! Starts off fairly easy, then you go through some difficult drops (I wussed out on the big one... it was HUGE), then it gets pretty easy technically, but I started huffing and puffing towards the back end. I didn't make it the entire way back, due to aerobic limitations, but this will be my new trail. Best place I have ridden in Gainesville as far as fun goes.

this trail is quite fun with all sorts of different features. Has alot of promise if people get together and build some more out there. A nice bridge with tree skinny in the back. Overall worth the drive if in the Gainesville area.

Similar Trail: San Falasco

Just like mongoose described it. More technical than most parts of san felasco for a good bit. Also has flat sections that cross through a field and go by some backyards. Has a few bridges, a see-saw and some wicked root sections and ups and down. Fairly long I'd say its around 7 miles of singletrack.

Similar Trail: San Felasco, Santos

My second time riding this trail. Rode it while up in Gainsville for the 2008 State of Florida MTB Championship series this past weekend. The best trail you will find around Gainesville without making the drive to Santos. Good use of sink holes to make for some good steep ups and downs, even a couple of small jumps. Like everyone else has said about this trail, there is more intermediate/expert stuff at the start, then pretty easy single track in a big loop around the property, with good technical bits (even some bridges). Much more interesting than San Felasco, but the scenery isn't as beautiful.

Similar Trail: Santos, Haile's, Alafia, and many more.
