Description: You'll start with a stiff climb for the first mile before dropping down and crossing the road. After crossing the road, get ready for super fun, somewhat technical downhill. Of course' you'll have to regain all that altitude. At the bottom, the traill rolls along between trees and meadows and then begins climbing toward Watson Lake. Be on the lookout for a large volcanic rock formation to the left as a short side-trip here will provide great views of Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately, the trees almost always block any views of the lake from the trees. The climb back uyp to Watson Lake seems longer and tougher than it should be, especially if you're not used to the altitude. Once at the lake, check you're energy level. If it's good, head back the way you came, knowing you've got a brutal climb awaiting. If not, make a loop back to your car by taking the road out of the parking area by the lake. When it hit's a "T", go right and pedal a half dozen miles back to where you started.

Really fun trail but definitely not as gnarly on the downhill as described... Any intermediate rider with a full suspension rig should be able to clear most of it the first time. It's also not that steep... That being said, it's a great rolling ride with a few tech sections. Well worth a ride!

Great section of the rim. I enjoy the technical aspect. A good amount of climbing and a real good tech downhill section. Well worth riding if in the area. I took the fiberboard back.
