Description: This probably isn\'t a trail you\'d want to have as a frequent destination, mainly due to the lack of mileage, but if you\'re looking for a little change of scenery, on a fun trail in a nice setting, do a couple of laps here, head over to the nearby SIUE trails (around 15 miles away, west on 143), and you can certainly have an entertaining day. Because of its frequent crossing of low drainage areas into the lake, and the all-dirt surface, it should be avoided after rain. Otherwise, the trail is well maintained. One other thing to note is that while the trail is within Silver Lake Park, there is no swimming allowed in the lake.

TRAIL REVIEWS   review this trail

Trail is tight single track with a lot of ups and downs. I find it to be a great a beginners trail since it is some what simple to navigate but has a bit of terrain difficulty (roots, few logs, small bumpy stuff, etc) Good trail to get a small taste of off road trail riding. Have to say the bridges though may scare some new riders navigating over them since they have no guard rails and usually come after a descent. But overall not a bad trail.

Similar Trail: SIUE

My 7 yr old son would like to say that these trails are really difficult because of all the big scary roots that bounce you around. Seriously, erosion over the last 3 years has changed the terrain a little and it is not as smooth as they used to be.

Similar Trail: SIU-Edwardsville, Indian Camp Creek, Town Run Trail Park, Rangeline, Creve Couer Lake
