Description: What makes this track great is the history and the views. It takes you through five 300' long 25' wide railroad tunnels that were created for the construction of Hover Dam back in 1931. This is a very easy ride with some spectacular views of Lake Mead. The track takes you all the way to Hover Dam. The final leg bikes are not permitted but there is a place where you can lock up your bikes and walk down to the Dam.

Rode this trail last weekend with the kids and found it to be easy, great views of the lake and very cool going through the tunnels-a great ride for the entire family!

Knowing a little about the history of the dam & the lake helps to make this one a bit more fun. Great for beginners or just anyone just visiting the area to sightsee. The trail is routed around some new construction towards the end of it as they are currently building the next chapter of history in the form of a bypass bridge that is pretty impressive to see from the viewing area at the trails end.
