Pontiac Lake is a great trail for those seeking a mix of intermediate to challenging runs. Excellent mix of straightaways to catch your breath in between rolling hills and turns. I always feel like I go a little faster here (even though I probably don't).

Similar Trail: Similar to some of the Stoney trails, but longer.

A great trail. I call it Metro Detroit Michigan's super G as there are loads of sweepers along with many other features. Lots of rocks, roots and 2 or 3 notable climbs. The first is a switchback climb with little time for rest except at the top. the second is just after the downhill "S" and you enter a steep climb with not much wiggle room. The last is just about at the end you can take it straight up or I prefer the switchback climb which snakes around, However, there are many other switchbacks to keep you smiling.

12ish miles of pure singletrack - a few grueling climbs, nice descents, great scenery and if you're a noob just go slow and you'll be fine

Similar Trail: Holly Rec (Holdridge) Stoney Creek

This is a great course for more advanced riding. The quad switchback climb at 2 miles taxes even experts. The reward is a beautiful view of of Pontiac lake and the entire area surrounding it. The finishing double switchback is also an O2 abuser. In between is a lot of variety, including a few jumps, climbs, ridge descents, rock gardens and tree roots. Several races are held here each year for good reason. Pros turn the course in about 40 minutes. A nice ride might take 1 hour to 1 and a half. Not a beginner's course. Bring your gear-tire flats are common.

Oh Baby. This one is pretty cool. The first Huge climb is called "Puke Hill". Trust me, it actually happened to one of my over confident friends one day, and I have also seen other marking left over by people who think its a good idea to eat right before they ride. It's just like swimming people come on. Anyways this trail is lots of fun. Watch out for large rocks on you descends . and in the summer it does get a bit sandy. The coolest thing is the half pipe looking thing which actually looks a lot more difficult than it really is. Make sure to bring plenty of water. Better to have more than to run out.

Trail is overall pretty average difficulty. There are a couple spots that get hairy if your going fast; such as a half-pipe type section made out of a steep creek ravine. This makes the trail very interesting, also has some great views.
