Description: 3 miles of tight technical turns with more logovers than I have seen on much longer trails. There are propably 15 or more but good ones very tight assembly. Like most of the Palm Beach Co. bike trails it is a lot of sugar sand and cabbage palm roots but if you catch it in the rainy season it can be reasonably fast.

Nice ride. It is very much for beginners. I am brand new and I finished no problem. People have been keeping it up have done a great job. I only encountered one place with sugar sand. ** Ok I have ridden it a few more times and there is quite a bit of sugar sand depending on which trail you are on. Some challenging parts for the more experience. Like someone mentioned before very tight fit in places where you will catch a handle.

This is the trail where my group really 'learned' MTB'ing. So I would say it's a good Beginner trail. Yes, there are root sections. Yes, there is a lot of sugar sand if it hasn't rained for a week. No, it's not a terribly fast trail. But overall, it's still a good workout and fun to just get out in WPB and ride, baby!!!

I rode this trail 2 times on a recent visit to fl and it was a frustrating ride both times. Several endo's followed by getting swallowed by sand. No flow or speed on the majority of the trail. lots of natural obstacles that can be fun and challenging. This is riding your bike through the jungle, plain and simple. Kinda pretty. Definitely a unique style. Not for me.

It's only 3 miles from my house so I can warm up and cool down to and from. There is still a bunch of sugar sand which you need to pedal through. There are some jumps but it is tough to get speed to hit them. I took my wife on her first trail ride and, although slow going, whe made it through the blue trail easily. The red is a little tougher but not much. I go b/c it is close to my house but, except for the root section in the middle (which I hate), it is not overly challenging. A good relaxing ride and good for exercise.

I was not really impressed with this trail. It is nothing but very slow and tight turns. When you have a straight it is very hard to build momentum due to the sand which is pretty much 100% of the trail. Not much of a surprise for SE Florida. However I still manged to keep my heartbeat up so it is not a bad workout. If you like tight turns, this may be for you. I did a single loop then I rode around the area before I left. I don't see myself going back. It is just not for me. Regardless weather I liked it or not ->>>> A big thanks to the people who keep this up. Thank you!

This is a great trail if you live in the area and want a good after work or before work ride. Tight and twisty is the name of the game with some good black dirt on much of the system and plenty of sugar sand along the way too. I hope the local trail builders keep up the good work and turn this into something with a little more teeth.* Review edited 2/27/2011

The club that manages this trail is Club FORCE. They have a website.

Its getting better. But Its real mellow. It needs some wood. Where the sugar sand is near the middle right corner is a nice place to build. I'd like to know what Club takes care of it & help build some decent things there, b/c its in a nice place it just needs improved upon. There is no "Difficult" trails.

Ok look this is South Florida we have SUGAR SAND. I have ridden this trail more times than I can count. The sugar sands spots have gotten fewer now that the trails have been reworked. Still other than large jumps, bridges and other cool features of the trails down south. It is every bit technial as any in this area. Can be fast and fun when you get to now the trail. And as for the sugar sand just dont stop pedaling!

Rode this trail 10/24 with my wife. Fun trail though not terribly challenging. As stated below - TONS of cabbage palm roots which become a PIA but provide a great workout. She's very inexperienced but even she was flying through the last 1/4 of the trail (blue trail). The red will challenge with it's technicality and yes, the section near the canal is lots of fun and you can scream through it - just watch for the roots toward the end of that section. Overall a great ride, especially if you have a beginner with you, that took us 2 hours to complete twice through.

The Mountain Bike Trail located at Freedom Park in Greenacres FL has 3.2 miles of single track. The mountain bike trail is considered intermediate, but occasionally cyclists will come to a fork in the trail with an option to stay on the "Blue" course or veer off onto the "Red" course, which is a course that offers more challenges for the advanced cyclist.
This mountain bike trail is considered to be apart of Okeeheelee Park, not Freedom Park. However the entrance into the mountain bike trails are located at the south end of Freedom Park in Greenacres FL, which is on the east side of Pinehurst Drive just south of Forest Hill Blvd.

Needs a lot of work! They should put more wood work like bridges in the sugar sand areas.

Nothing fancy, but a nice quick ride. No issues here and I would def ride this again... Careful with directions to this park as we went to the wrong park...

Very flat trail, half sugar sand, half cabbage palms. Makes Oleta roots look tame. The palms may be a little technically challenging, but they are not enjoyable, just a pain.

The tight technical turns and roots/jumps in the description are no joke. I figured this'd be a fun trail to get my girlfriend into mountain biking, but it's not too enjoyable for beginners. It's pretty easy to catch air off of the fallen trees and bigger roots, but due to the tight trees and turns you may not be able to keep the momentum all the time. As another reviewer stated, the parts next to the canal are refreshing, super fun, and the best part, for sure.

Very fun and fast trail. Rode after one day of rain and the grounds were perfect. The best sections are the ones next to the canals at the East and South side of the trails. I recommend not to clip-in if you're riding it for the first time, like I was. Lots of palm roots in the "red" trails. The local crews have opened a couple of new trails and do a great job at maintenance. Total ride distance: 4 miles.
