Description: Tight technical trail that traces the Parker Canyon Lake shore. I reccomend riding this trail counter-clockwise (heading north from the starting point near the store), this will allow you to have a good cool down on the smooth section at the end. Trail is filled with mostly rocky obstacles to clear and a few roots and fallen trees! Very fun ride!! Area is full of all kinds of wildlife including a chance to catch a rare glimpse of the Bald Eagle in it's natural habitat! Don't forget to stop by M&M Bikes in Sierra Vista and stock up on some extra tubes for the ride.

Fishermen everywhere so you'll have to keep the chattter to a minimum. The dam crossing wasn't obvious, wet when there. A rare local to ride around water where you can swim and camp for AZ.

Similar Trail: The many trails on the Huachucas, nearby AZ Trail. Scotia Canyon was very rocky.

After recently leaving Germany, where trails are user-friendly for hikers and bikers alike, I was a bit disappointed in this mountain goat trail, complete with swamp section and snake-in-the-grass. The road to the lake was also rough and narrow, though I heard it was previously dirt. We did encounter some quail, and the scenery is nice, but overall the lake is for fishing and boating.

Definitely felt like an outsider with so many people fishing at various points along the trail, which was often positioned right off the lakes edge. Beautiful scenary and romantic benches along the way, but better used via a hike rather than a mountain bike. At times fishing gear was on the trail and we had to use caution not to kick rocks at peaceful fishermen. As an amateur, often had to walk bike up rocky bluffs on the lakes edge.
