Description
This for advanced riders. Sweet singletrack with about a mile of very dire hike for about a mile in the middle. the middle could be cleaned if a mistake did not lead to fall to river below. I have 500 miles down Downivlle downhill and this one had me sweating in a couple of places.

Review: We started at the parking lot the directions take you to. It was not too difficult to find. Follow the directions not the signs. It was mostly uphill to the Round mountain trail meet up. A decent mix the rest of the way. I have been mountain biking for about 2 months but have rode dirt bikes the majority of my life so I do consider myself a fairly good rider. I recommended to a few of my buddies who have been riding MTB for the majority of their lives we check out this trail because it was an IMBA epic trail. THIS TRAIL IS NOT EPIC! If you can maintain riding in a skinny bike lane you can ride this trail. While clocking 30 mph on its downhills like we did I would not recommend for beginners anyone can ride this trail. While yes the previously expressed fact that you will most likely die if you slip off of the edge is real the trail is smooth and at its skinniest maybe 18' inches wide. There we a few parts a little more sketchy due to trail slants none of it was THAT bad. The views are to die for. If you are in to MTB for view I have not been many places that could stand with the views this one has to offer. If you are into MTB for jumps, technical riding, or going fast I would recommend Tyrolean or Mr. Toads.

Review: I just rode the South Yuba Trail this Saturday and I had a great time. Most of the trail is smooth single track along a very steep hillside overlooking the Yuba River with many awe inspiring views. It has a good mix of up and down portions. There were only a few places where it was too steep to ride up. I only used the three lowest gears during the entire ride. Usually by the time I reached a peak I was too out of breath to haul down the downhill. The shrubbery on the trail is quite overgrown and it is impossible to avoid the poison oak. At the 4 mile point where the South Yuba Trail meets the Humbug Trail there several picnic tables and plenty of room for camping. And there are lots of places to go swimming. Overall the South Yuba Trail is a great ride.

Review: Beautiful singletrack, watch out for the Poison Oak, chlorinated hot tub kills it! Windex wash or soap stops it. Gold panners love this river.

Review: Please know what you are doing this one is not forthe faint of heart. Please do not think you are advanced be advanced for years. Missiouri Bar just rips. Your ears pop on the way down over and over. If someone is hurt it will be difficult to remove the remains:{)

Similar Trail: Purdon Crossing. Butcher Ranch.

Review: This is ADVANCED! We bought a map there. Ride out of town on Releif Road (gravel) Drop dpwn Missiouri Bar trail(ripping single track) Right at the river on to South Yuba Trail only a few feet above the river. Wil become hundereds feet above river. At Edwards Crossing go right on North Bloomfield to Rim Trail. Left on Rim which will loop back to North Bloomfield. then left back to Malakoff Digging.
